The Rajiv Gandhi Awards Committee is administered by the following office bearers.

Membership of the RGAC is open to all who believe in the dreams and vision of Rajiv Gandhi irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
The Rajiv Gandhi Awards Committee [RGAC] was constituted in Kuwait in 1997 when a group of prominent Indians under the leadership of Markos Williams came together to foster the legacy of the late Indian Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi.
The RGAC was formally registered with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait during the tenure of Ambassador B.M.C. Nayar in December 1997 and duly recognised by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, New Delhi, headed by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi.
The RGAC conducts seminars, presents the Rajiv Gandhi Awards for Excellence, conducts Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Day Events and organises Social Welfare activities for the benefit of the weaker sections of the Indian community.
Mrs. Sonia Gandhi visited Kuwait in August 1998 at the invitation of RGAC and represented the Rajiv Gandhi Awards for excellence to 5 recipients.
